Morning

David Williams (14), aided by nine bisques, romped home against Roger Martin (5) in less than 90 minutes.

Graham Roberts (4.5) and Mike Glew (10) had a close game until, with minutes left, Mike made four hoops to win on time.

In the doubles, Jonathan and Pat used the single bisque well to gain a large early lead against John and Klim and then held on for a comfortable win.

Afternoon

Mike Glew (10), played well after lunch and gave John Morgan ((7) few chances, winning within two hours and triggering a handicap reduction.

Graham Roberts (4.5) played solidly throughout against Jonathan Wood (also 4.5) for a comfortable victory.

In the battle of the higher handicappers, Klim Seabright (12) took an early lead against a nervous David Williams (14). David eventually got going and spent time with both balls at rover. Both players missed several chances before David straight peeled rover and pegged out in successive turns.

Pat Oxley (16) used his bisques to get well ahead of Roger Martin (5) but then ran the wrong hoop several times as Roger fought his way back into contention. Roger's determination and Pat's inexperience eventually led to a close finish with Roger winning on time by two.

Cheltenham displayed all of their genial and excellent hospitality, much appreciated by the East Dorset team.
