Dyffryn beat Cornwall 5-2

[<<] [>>] by Malcolm Hooper at Budleigh Salterton
6th July 2005 (AC - Longman Cup)

The weather was cloudy and cool, but without rain. There was a blustery north-west wind. Both teams thoroughly enjoyed some entertaining croquet. All the games were very tight demonstrating the worth of the handicap system. The two teams played with convivial rivalry. Cornwall Croquet wishes Dyfryn the best of luck in the next rounds.

Budleigh Salterton was a warm host as always, opening the bar at lunch time and preparing tea specially. Both teams expressed their thanks, particularly to Mary and Joyce Goodhart who looked after us so well.
