Bristol lost to Colchester 3-4

[<<] [>>] by Rob Fulford at Bristol
18th July 2005 (AC - Inter-Club)

Lawns at Bristol were fast and tricky, though had easy to run omega hoops. Colchester took to a 2-1 lead into lunch after James Dixon failed a 3 yard peg out and Richard Smith came back from 2b and 4b. Eventually as so often seems to happen in the interclub the match reached 3-3 with a sweaty ending in the seventh game, in this case between Ed Duckworth and Jack Wicks. Jack had the first chance to clinch the match but failed rover. Ed for penult and penult hit a 13 yarder and took that ball to the peg but failed an ambitious wiring and left Jack an 8 yarder with his peg ball. Jack hit, made a good leave and finished after Ed missed a 30 yarder.
