The match was played at Parkstone where the lawns were fast but true. It started badly for Blewbury with Benson Spiers slipping 1-4 down against Kath Burt and a 7-3 defeat in the doubles but then improved leading to a 3-0 score at lunch. Jonathan Wood opened the scoring for the home side and with two of the matches going all the way it was Nick Butler who scored the winning hoop.
