Norwich beat Letchworth 4-3

[<<] [>>] by Neil Chalmers
17th June 2007 (AC - Longman Cup)

Norwich beat Letchworth 4-3 in a very close match at Norwich on Saturday 16 June 2007.

Letchworth were 2-1 up at the end of the morning's first round, just getting off the courts before the heavens opened. Fortunately, the showers, though torrential, were short-lived and sunshine had returned for the second round after lunch. After about an hour and a half, the heavens opened again and I was very grateful to have just finished my game against Jeremy Scott. The match score got to 3-all with all depending on the outcome of the game between young fast-improving Callum Ringer (who had had Norwich' sole success in Round 1) and Letchworth's Colin Davies. Callum just made it home in the pouring rain by +3.
