A good win 5-1 for East Dorset against Woking, last year's Mary Rose winners, but also a much closer match that the final result suggests.
The morning saw Tom and Terry finishing off their doubles game in double quick time, very nearly by +26 with Tom having completed his 3 peels. After a temporary respite, Tom finished the game.
Peter and Collin's game was pegged down as it was felt better to start the other games as a priority.
In the afternoon, Mike quickly beat Tom but not until Tom had put up a good show at the start of the game. Jonathan was running close on the heels of Collin when Collin's 'final' rush to the peg resulted in a "grievous" - the roqueted ball being rushed onto the peg. Jonathan then prevented Collin getting anywhere near the peg and finished the game a few turns later. Terry had a long nip and tuck game with Andrew and nearly did the same as Collin at the end. Luckily the ball was not pegged out this time with the ball just missing the peg by about one inch. Peter completed the day by beating Ross convincingly.
