Eight Predictions competition - the winner is

... Richard Smith - who selected Bamford (3rd), Evans (2nd), Williams (2nd), Butler (joint 3rd) and Smith (1st).

Richard's 33.5 points was just ahead of my own predictions, Lemon's (who should have had the faith to predict himself!) and Stephen Mulliner's.

It was interesting that absolutely nobody anticipated Louise winning the Tankard - what an omission: Ladies Champion and a past winner of the Selectors. Also, Ben Ashwell again showed that getting in as reserve is no obstacle to success.

So, well done Richard. I shall try to get your prize (a bottle of Northbrook Springs bubbly) to you soon - are you visiting Surbiton again this season?

Thank you to the other 48 who took part - better luck next year.
