CA Council suspects that soon there may be a shortage of willing managers for its tournaments, and possibly club tournaments as well. With this in mind, the tournament committee has formed a sub-committee to support managers and to investigate the situation and make recommendations to Council.
The recruitment of managers has been largely a haphazard affair with willing candidates graduating through running their own internal club competitions to running CA fixture book events and then CA sponsored events. There maybe a need to formalise this with some training or form of education process.
The CA database of managers is out of date and should be updated. To this aim I politely request that all existing and future managers fill in the questionnaire on the separate sheet and return it to the CA office. This will give the basis for our future plans.
The deadline for returning the questionnaire is the 31st January 2008
