The weatherman made up for his mistakes yesterday by giving us a through drenching early this morning, A resident camper in the Southwick car park reported that at 5am all lawns were submerged. When the players arrived only two lawns were playable. Round 1 was reduced to 14 point games with one and a half hour time limits. The rain eased off and by lunch nine lawns were playable and round two was played as normal 26 point games but with two hour limits. This allowed the programme to be completed by tea time and the final round was played as the programme. Compton was not as badly affected and the normal programme was run.
