On a sunny but cold day, in a repeat of the 2006 final, Colchester beat Woking 4-2 (1 game unfinished) in the first round of the Mary Rose. As is usual in these games, we made an arrangement to peg down the doubles match if it was not finished by lunch time, to be finished only if necessary. In the event, however it was one of the singles games that had to be pegged down!
