Hamptworth lost to Sussex County 2-5

The Southwick team were met by the Hamptworth players who proved to be attentive and charming hosts. After introductions and welcome refreshments, the morning's games started on well kept lawns in somewhat windy conditions.

A break for a pleasant lunch offered some respite from the chilly conditions, and the games then continued, each hoop being strongly contested, finally resulting in a 5-2 win for Southwick.

The match ended, a welcome tea was provided, and after thanking our hosts for their hospitality, the Southwick team made their way back home.
