The CA retained the McWeeney trophy in glorious sunshine at Carrickmines thus levelling the score at fourteen-all.

Phil Cordingley won a bottle of Katnook cab-sauv for being first to peg out in the third round of doubles with two hour time limits. These were put in place to ensure timely arrival at The Gables in Foxrock for the tournament dinner, generously hosted by the CAI.
