Bath beat Nottingham 4-3

Bath beat Nottingham 4-3 in a closely fought contest. The final deciding match between Dennis Graham (Bath) and Gordon Hopewell (Nottingham) did not finish until 7.45pm. Earlier in the day Peter Miles was the star performer for Bath winning his morning singles +23, and also his afternoon match after being pegged out. He was rewarded with a handicap reduction to 4.5. In the morning Ian Lewis and Dennis Graham (Bath) won the doubles by 5 points after a 5 hour marathon with Ian playing an excellent last turn.

Thanks to Cheltenham for hosting and looking after us all - Bath will now play them in the next round!
