David lost to Marcus -24TP
Roger lost to Richard -26TP
Martin lost to Paul -14

On a slightly damp day, the Bristol lawns were in good condition and playing fairly quick considering the weather.

The doubles started well with Kris round 4th turn. James hit the lift and shortly after had the TPO with a pop on David's ball and 2 off leaving 1 v 2. After what felt like a couple of hours, Marcus finally finished the game. Meanwhile the bottom singles went fairly comfortably Bristols way.

2-1 to Bristol at lunch.

After lunch Kris beat James due to hitting the lift. Marcus caused a slight problem when trying to run hoop 4 on his triple due to the double-bankers having a ball in NSL position, Marcus thought it wasn't in the way and ran the hoop to the boundary but clipped the other ball on the way. After
some discussion it was ruled through but no point scored. David failed to take advantage of this and Marcus had his triple.

Richard had a flawless game against Roger so it all came down to Paul and Martin. Both players got the first ball round but in the end Paul held it together to bring a closely fought match home for Nottingham.

Our thanks to Bristol for a good lunch and a good match.
