Colin Irwin pegged out Oppo and his own ball to leave a two ball ending with his clip on hoop 2 and David Eckford on on hoop 1 with two and a half bisques left. David used the bisques well to get a six point lead but Colin hit a long roquet and finished. Ian Theakston achieved a CA Bronze Merit Award.
Colin Pegged Betty Bates out but she managed the three ball break well and won +11.
Paul Widger took the outright lead in the sunshine. Paul also claimed a CA Bronze Merit Award as did Patrick Cheyne.
The winner was still not clear and any of eight players were able to qualify depending on the results. After the last game finished Paul Widger was the outright winner with 5/5 but a complicated tie break had to be resolved to find the other qualifiers. Paul Kenworthy achieved a CA Silver Award.
