g) Report:
On a lovely sunny day on the banks of the River Thames in Henley, Phyllis
Court Croquet Club were very pleased to welcome Colchester Croquet
Club as new visitors.
PCCC Chairman Pam Mead and team manager Frances Colman were
able to renew friendships with Colchester's Jane Collier and Ann Brookes
that had begun earlier in the season at the Ladies Open at Ripon.
Following a light lunch, the croquet went the way of the home side who
won all seven rubbers but afterwards there were still smiles aplenty from
Colchester who were sent on their way with a scones and cream afternoon
tea.
Phyllis Court now play Dulwich Croquet Club in the quarter finals.
