Scottish CA beat the CA

[<<] [>>] by Gail Curry at Middlesbrough Croquet Club
7th September 2010 (International)

The Scots finally wrapped up a victory in the final round of matches to win 16-14 to take the Glasgow Quaich back over the border for a year. The match was played in great weather, spirit and surroundings. The Middlesbrough club had done a great deal of preparation for the match and the conditions were appreciated. Phill Scarr played very steadily for the CA and was the only unbeaten player of the weekend, fully earning himself a handicap reduction from 2 - 1.5. James Hopgood entertained the spectators with peeling turns, while the rest of the players battled in good humoured tussles.

Well done Scots, see you next year.
