Young stars dominate early English GC events

Last season's youthful wind of change in English GC is threatening to become a gale. In the first three weeks of the English season, Ryan Cabble beat Nick Cheyne to win at Sidmouth, Jacob Carr held off a resurgent Tim King at Ripon and Will Gee came home against Howard Cheyne and Andrew Hobbs, another London-resident South African, at Surbiton. Average age of the winners? 19!

REMINDER: The closing date for the GC World Championship Qualifier (now at Roehampton and Surbiton on 15/16 July with room for 32 entrants in total) is 6 May 2011.
