Gabrielle Higgins won the Guildford & Godalming Open Challenge Cup

[<<] [>>] by Graham Gale at Guildford & Godalming CC
15 May 2011 (AC)

Gabrielle Higgins won a tense final round game against Tony Mrozinski to lift the G&G Open Challenge Cup, the first woman to do so in its 24 year history.
Conditions at Guildford were the most difficult you reporter has ever known there, especially the hoops which behaved like they were set in concrete (thanks Tony!). This probably explains why most of the players only completed 4 games and one particular game between -1's went to time after approximately 5 hours!

Gabrielle Higgins 4/4 100%
