Khaled Younis won the 17th Yorkshire Open Championship

Khaled Younis won the 17th Yorkshire Open, beating Ryan Cabble in the final.

Fourteen players contested the tournament over three days ,in varying weathers, with all the block play, best-of-three, being completed just after lunch on Saturday. Samantha Thompson retired after the blocks owing to ill health, so Jane Collier was promoted to 4th in the block.

In the first semi final Khaled Younis beat Jacob Carr and in the second Ryan Cabble beat Ray Mounfield.

The final was watched by over 60 spectators in warm sunshine with some tremendous croquet being played Khaled Younis winning the deciding third game at hoop 13.

Khaled has now won the Yorkshire International 6 times

The winner of the Plate was Bernard Thys from Belgium
