Mick Haytack won the Hurlingham Midweek Veterans' Tournament. Eight 70 year olds and under, coming down to seven owing to illness, played a fiercely fought American block with two on four wins and five on three wins. Mick Haytack from Ashby, who also won in 2011, emerged the winner having beaten Frances Colman (Phyllis Court) who became the Runner Up.

The older veterans played a 6-round Swiss with Richard Wainman (Cheltenham) yet again (having won in 2011 and 2010) winning, although this time he just managed to lose his last match. Dave Edwards (Cornwall) and Peter Quinn (Hurlingham) were joint Runners Up with four wins out of six.
