Croquet New Zealand has supported the bid by the Wellington Croquet Association to conduct the event. This will be the first time in the history of the World Championships that the event has been conducted in New Zealand and the second time in the Southern Hemisphere. The Wellington Croquet Association s experience in conducting large scale events will provide the background of expertise necessary to organise and conduct a very successful Championship
The World Croquet Federation, Croquet New Zealand and the Wellington Croquet Association are co-operating to make this event a fitting world croquet championship debut for New Zealand's capital city.
