England lost in the semi-final to eventual champions, Egypt, having narrowly come second in their block to the USA who played runner-up, New Zealand. They then beat USA to take third place.
The First Division ran from Monday 26th November to Sunday 2nd December 2012 in Johannesburg, South Africa with eight teams competing to be the first winner of the prestigious Openshaw International Croquet Shield.
The England team was Stephen Mulliner (Captain), Jacob Carr, James Goodbun, and Will Gee.
