A strong field competed on 13 & 14 April, with five of the players competing in the WCF GC World Championship in Cairo, starting on 21 April.
The tournament format was two all-play-all blocks (single 13-point games) with the top two players in each block qualifying for the semi-finals (best of three 13-point games).
