The morning doubles match was played using the trial law regarding handicap doubles play, which is now to be used for CA doubles matches. Surbiton won this match quite easily but on the adjacent lawn the two Woking players, Sara and Michael defeated their Surbiton opponents. So when we stopped for lunch it was 2-1 to Woking. In the afternoon three of the four singles matches went to Woking but in the fourth, between the two lowest handicap players, there was a very tight contest. After John D mistakenly pegged out one of his balls and removed it from the lawn (partner still on penult) it was returned to where it had come to rest and play continued.
John still managed to win by +1T, this being the only match to go to time.

A very enjoyable day for all, played in a very friendly spirit.
