Robert Fletcher of Australia won the AC World Croquet Championship beating New Zealander Paddy Chapman +4, +3tp, +26.
At just 20, Robert is the youngest player to win the coveted title, and the only player to have won the event without dropping a game. Robert was runner up in the World Championship last year, losing to Reg Bamford. Paddy Chapman, a member of Nottingham Croquet Club was taking part in his first final.
The event was held at four London Clubs: Surbiton, Roehampton, Hurlingham and Woking.
In the Bowl (for those knocked out of the first round of the KO), James Hopgood (ENG) beat Nick Parish (ENG) +23tp, +26tp.
In the Plate (for those who did not qualify for the KO), Jose Riva (ESP) beat Paul Bennett (USA) +11,+12.
In the Shield (for those out of everything else), Richard Smith (ENG) beat Lionel Tibble (ENG) +13, +5.
