Twenty four players contested this year's B-Level Advanced Weekend at Bowdon. The rain held off and there was some sunshine on both days. The lawns were in fine condition, if a little slow and easy, and the hoops were set to a tight 1/16".

The final was between Omied Hallam of Nottingham and local Bowdon player Barry Keen, with Omied running out the winner very quickly +22, +26 - his second successive win in the event.

Meanwhile, in the Egyptian, a play-off was needed to decide the event when Dave Gunn of Nottingham overcame Adrian Morris of Kenilworth to take the consolation event.

Rupert Webb presented the Sheila Black Salver to Omied and thanks were given to Lorna Frost for managing, to the caterers for the excellent food, to Alan Mayne for the condition of the lawns, and to Barry Keen for setting the lawns and hoops.
