England beat Australia to win the First Test Match

England beat Australia 16 - 5 to win their first test match of the MacRobertson Shield series, currently taking place in New Zealand.

New Zealand beat the USA 20 - 1 to win their test match.

The series now moves from Christchurch in the South Island to the Napier area in the north. England will play the USA and New Zealand will play Australia. Play will start on 5 January 2014.
