On lawns freshly prepared by George Noble for the Home Internationals Surbiton beat Roehampton 5: 2
In the morning with everyone finding the hoops difficult only Graham and Peter Siddall obeyed the cooks orders to complete their game by 13:30. They were therefore able to have their lunch at leisure whilst the other struggled on to nearly 15:00 to complete their games.
The afternoon games were a bit quicker but the match did not finish until 19:30.
