The CA Equipment Committee has continued its investigation of the properties which might lead to an "Elite Hoop" for top class AC events. We have now made and tested a hoop with polyurethane sleeves on the uprights and found it very effective at reducing the angle from which the hoop might be run. It is also less tolerant of off-line hoop strokes. The next step is to investigate how this might be made into a production hoop. This supplement to the report of the earlier 2014 Hoop Tests is now available.
