Lawn Conditions

Friday: The lawns are running at 14 seconds. Hoops are solid, and set to between 1/32" and 1/64".

Saturday: We missed the overnight rain, but it's overcast and humid. Lawns are running at 12 seconds at the start of play. Hoops still solid. All main event play will now be on lawns 1-3, which are a little faster than the others.

After lunch, lawn 3 is at 12.5 seconds, and the hoops have been tapped in. Lawn 2 (for the semis) has had its hoops fettled. There's a bit of sun from time to time, and the wind has picked up. Lawn 3 will get a trim before tomorrow's final.

Sunday: Lawns 2 and 3 have been cut overnight. Lawn 2 will have the conclusion to the remaining semi, and the final will be on lawn 3. Lawn 3 has just been timed at 13.2 seconds. The sun is out, and there's a light breeze.

Some bright spark has timed the light breeze "as worth half a Plummer", although as the final start it has got stronger and a bit gusty. Lawn 3 timed after the final with a whole Plummer of wind - 13 seconds upwind, 14 seconds downwind.
