Sally Hunt won the Hurlingham GC Tournament

Heavy rain was forecast and arrived just before the start of play. Nevertheless 12 players took part in a day that was eventually truncated in the early afternoon. The defending champion, Nick Cheyne made a cheerful and determined attempt to cope with his new effective handicap and won 50% of his games but to no avail. In what turned out to be the deciding match Sally Hunt (8 from Hurlingham) beat Mike Huxley (effective h'cap 0 from Guildford) in fine style. Well done by all in very trying weather conditions.
