Federations agree to join the CA

[<<] [>>] by Dr Ian Vincent
31st March 2015 (CqE Official News)

I was very pleased to announce to the March Council Meeting that my understanding is that all nine of the current Federations have resolved to join the Croquet Association as Member Federations when the changes to the constitution to allow that take effect at the AGM this October. When the Federations were set up in the 1980s, the then Sports Council insisted that they should be totally independent of the national governing body and follow their regional boundaries, to be eligible for funding. That historical anomaly has now been removed and the Council pays tribute to the success of and the enormous contribution to the development of croquet made by the Federations and looks forward to working more closely with them in future.
