Brian Kerr won the B-Level Advanced Weekend at Budleigh Salterton

With heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for the Saturday and Sunday, players turned up at Budleigh Salterton CC on Friday expecting two wet days of play. However, the weather decided to be kind and only gave light rain on Saturday afternoon and evening, it did turn colder as the weekend progressed.

On Sunday morning there were 5 players in contention to win, but with some very fast play ( 47 minutes for one game ) Brian Kerr ( Southport) managed to get in an extra game and win the Tournament. He went home with an engraved goblet to go with the one he won last year. Peter Thompson and Frances Ransom were level, but as Peter had beaten Frances was declared second and Frances third.
