Watford travelled to Dulwich to play the first round match of the GC Inter-Club Championship.

Leading 2-1 at lunchtime, Dulwich kept the pressure with Pierre defeating Nick in two. Accident prone Sue Lightbody, returning to competition after almost a year of enforced rest, took revenge for her morning defeat by beating John Walker in straight games. This was followed by Andrew Dymond defeating Steve Dennis at which point Guy and Jason decided to end on an honourable draw and a drink.
