Following hosting the tier 2 World Team Championships two weeks ago, Camerton and Peasedown welcomed Hamptworth to the championship lawns for their first round tie of the GC Inter-Club (Murphy)Shield.

The match started on time and the morning session was played out well in time for an early lunch with Hamptworth securing wins in all three games.

Playing on all four lawns, the afternoon singles were played and completed just before the rain came. Hamptworth securing another three wins to CPCC's one win.

Hamptworth won the tie 6 - 1. Despite the score line, there was some really good croquet played by both sides and a very enjoyable day was had by all.
