Lionel Tibble won the Hamptworth GC Wiltshire Open Tournament

Lionel Tibble joined us at Hamptworth on his first visit for a major GC tournament, bringing with him three of his colleagues from Northampton. We had a very strong field this year of 20 players, which also included five from Phyllis Court.

The Semi-Finalists were Lionel Tibble( Northampton) versus Chris Roberts (Phyllis Court) & Jonathan Powe (East Dorset) versus the current trophy holder, Mark Daley (Dulwich).

Both these semi-finals went to three games and were well contested. Lionel & Jonathan eventually won through to contest the final, with Lionel coming out on top with a 7-3 / 7-5 victory.
