This is a third-hand report, having lost 9 hours and 30 degrees (Centigrade, not just Fahrenheit!).
Going into the final two days of the test, England and USA were level pegging at 6 all. However, England had their best day at Mission Hills so far to take the singles 5-1 on day 9, to take a winning 11-7 lead, and went on to win the final three doubles to wrap up a 14-7 victory.
Meanwhile Australia beat New Zealand by the same margin.
Saturday will be the second rest day, with the final pair of tests starting on Sunday: Australia v USA and England v New Zealand.
