Guildford beat Hamptworth 6-1

Monday 22nd May saw the G & G team of Barry Gould, Andrea Huxley, Mike Huxley and Alan Miles play their first tie of this year's Murphy Shield interclub competition against a team from Hamptworth CC. In the first round the two singles matches were quite quickly finished with Mike and Alan each winning in two straight games. The doubles match was quite a tussle with G & G eventually prevailing 2 games to 1. In the second round the four singles matches were played resulting in three wins to one for the home team.
The result 6-1 to Guildford and Godalming.
