Resort Invitational - Contest announcement

The fourth annual Resort at The Mountain Invitational will be held September 6-10, 2000. The Resort is located an hour from Portland, Oregon, at the base of Mt. Hood.

The format: Association Rules, singles, eights, double round robin with the top two finishers in the block to advance to a one game finals Sunday during the luncheon. The next two finishers in the block will play for 3rd and 4th on Sunday morning. All games are 2 hours. Except for the Sunday games, all are double banked on the two full sized courts. Very few games have gone 2 hours during this tournament.

Tremaine Arkley is tournament director/manager and the players will referee their games.

1st $1500.00
2nd $1000.00
3rd $ 600.00
4th $ 400.00

I am running a contest again this year. Email me your complete order of finish. One entry per person. The winner will receive a couple of jars of jam, maybe Santa Rosa Plum and Marionberry, from our farm, and a croquet print from our croquet art collection.

1999 David Openshaw was the winner and John Taves the runner-up.
1998 Chris Clark was the winner and Robert Fulford the runner-up.
1997 Jerry Stark was the winner with Toby Garrison the runner-up.
