Croquet Durham had the pleasure of entertaining Belsay in the opening round of the 2018 GC Inter-Club competition at our Chester-le-Street greens on Thursday 17 May (delayed because of problems with lawn availabilities).

The Durham team consisted of Nigel Martin (2), Roger Carpenter (1), Brian Johnson (1) and Peter Tymms (4), with Belsay represented by Phil Errington (-1), Ian Hunter (1), David Millener (2) and Derek Johnson (4) .

Croquet Durham won 5-2.

Brian beat Derek 7-4, 7-4

Peter beat David 7-5, 7-6

Nigel lost to Phil 5-7, 3-7

Roger beat Ian 7-5, 5-7, 7-6
