Jane Tewson wins Ashby's GC B-Level Tournament

Twelve players from as far north as Edinburgh and as far south as Leighton Buzzard, competed at Moira for the annual B-Level GC tournament on a fine dry Saturday following a very wet Friday. There were seven rounds of play, finishing around 5pm, after which the clear winner was local player Jane Tewson with an impressive 7 wins out of 7. Jane has had a very successful year, also winning the Leighton Buzzard GC B-Level event in June.

Top placings

1st: Jane Tewson (Ashby and Long Eaton clubs) 7 wins
2nd: Pauline Donner (Woodhall Spa) 6 wins
3rd: David Cornes (Crake Valley, Cumbria) 5 wins, +13 hoop difference
