16 competitors gathered at the lovely Nottingham Croquet Club on Saturday morning. The weather was on the whole very good, apart from one short downpour and a lot of wind.
By Sunday lunch-time there were three players in contention: Beatrice McGlen, Miranda Chapman and Ian Lines were all on one loss only. Miranda won against Beatrice to take her to 5 from 6, but Ian had a comeback against David Harrison-Wood, and as he had managed to squeeze in an extra game, he finished on 6 out of 7 to take the Momento Mori trophy.
The peeling prize was also won by Ian with 3 TP's, for which he suitably won a jar of 3 peel marmalade J
As usual the Nottingham croquet club looked after everyone really well with fantastic food and good lawns.
