Jordan Waters won the Roehampton End of Season Tournament

[<<] [>>] by John Pearson at Roehampton
10th September 2019 (AC - Handicap)

Roehampton's End of Season AC Handicap Tournament was played over the weekend of 7-8 September on fast lawns and in fine weather, leading to games being completed well before the time limit. The field (all of whom had played in the tournament at least once before) had been reduced to 10 following late withdrawals due to family illness or to even more important CA events !

The first day saw Jordan Waters (Merton), a former winner in 2014, picking up where he had left off (though with a much reduced handicap) with 3 good wins, the only one to do so. Other results were largely very even. Jordan carried on in the same vein on the Sunday with 2 more strong wins to be the clear outright winner. Runner-up was Jordan's victim in the 1st round, Barry Holland (Surbiton) with 4 wins, thus repeating his runner-up position of last year.
