The CA Webinars are a webinar series for CA Members, CA Member Clubs and Federations, to learn and discuss particular topics around croquet administration. We aim to run this on the last Saturday morning of each month.

Thursday 13th May 2021 - More People: Reaching New Audiences

How is your club seen in your community? What more can you do to welcome new people, and attract those who might never have considered croquet?

Croquet is a sport that can be played by people from every background and identity. We want to actively encourage everyone to reach their potential in our sport, no matter what challenges they may face.

There has never been a better time to consider this. Momentum is gathering in sport and across society for greater inclusivity and, in addition, from the great challenges presented by the pandemic comes a re-discovery of the mental and physical benefits of playing sport.

Croquet has a role to play in developing a more inclusive society and in helping the nation recover from the trauma of the pandemic while at the same time growing our membership.

Using real examples and case studies, the purpose of this webinar is to engage our members in conversation about what this means for all of us and how best to move forward. These include:

• How to reach communities who may not have considered playing croquet,
• Getting young people into croquet,
• Positive benefits to clubs of being more inclusive.

Please sign up on Eventbrite by 5pm (BST) on Tuesday 11th May to reserve your place at the Zoom - max 100 participants. Alternatively you may watch and contribute to the webinar via this YouTube broadcast link (no participant limit - you will need a Google Account to interact via Live Chat).

The webinar will be held on Zoom and broadcast live on YouTube. Meeting details (how to join the webinar) will be shared with registered attendees on Wednesday 12th May.
