Bamford, Openshaw, Clarke and Forster advanced to the knockout rounds, the others entered the Plate

Block B

McInerney, Mundy, Fulford and Drake advanced to the knockout rounds, the others entered the Plate

Block C

Wins after 7 rounds: Maugham 6, Johnston 4, Williams 4, Skinley 4, Bassett 4, Bryant 3, Cherry 3, Garrad 0

Maugham advanced to the knockout rounds, Bryant Cherry and Garrard entered the Plate. Johnston, Williams, Skinley and Bassett entered a knockout to find three contenders from the four. As a result of these matches, Bassett, Johnston and Williams advanced to the knockout rounds of the main event. Skinley entered the Plate. Paul advanced to the knockout rounds and Chris entered the Plate
