Changes to Individual Membership of the Croquet Association

The interim report of the CA Council's working party on membership examined, as part of its remit, the CA membership categories which apply to individuals. Its interim report to Council made some recommendations that were adopted on 10^th August 2020.

With regard to individual membership, the working party recommended that the rights of Standard Members should be equalised with those of Premium Members as follows:

• That Standard Members be treated equally to Premium Members for entry to tournaments (except for the additional £5 per day that they pay) and that the Tournament Regulations be amended accordingly.
• That Standard Members be eligible for CA Selection Events and to represent the CA in International Events

These relatively small distinctions between the classes of membership have been removed in the interests of recognising members equally, particularly with regard to eligibility and representing the CA. Giving Standard Members equal entry rights will support attempts to increase participation in tournaments.

These changes will come into effect from 1^st January 2021.
