Andrew Larpent wins Ryde GC B-Level

Following a day of multiple downpours, which eventually flooded the lawns, we were granted the respite needed to complete a full 48 match programme in good time and with only minor weather inconvenience. The tournament was played in four blocks of 4, all-play-all, using a Swiss style rearrangement of the blocks at half time.

Peter Adams, Jim O'Keeffe and Andrew Larpent were the only undefeated players going into the second stage. Andrew completed the day by beating them both and recording six wins out of six as clear winner of the tournament.

This was Andrew's first competition at Ryde and as a new member of the club, having recently relocated from Dorset. We look forward to following his progress in the B-Level final in September.
