High Wycombe beat Woking 3-2

Ed Olhausen, playing in his first Mary Rose match, got the home team off to a flying start with a rapid win over Ian Anderson, and Wycombe's doubles pairing of Mike Porter and Keith Pound held off the challenge of Andrew Dutton and Nick Harvey, winning +3 on time to give Wycombe a 2-0 lunchtime lead.

In the afternoon, Ian quickly prevailed over Keith to make the match score 2-1, but Mike sealed the victory for Wycombe with a triple peel against Andrew. This left Ed and Nick to entertain the crowd with a close-fought match in which Nick battled back from an early deficit to tie the game at 25-25 in the time turn. Ed missed his shot from the East boundary, and Nick pegged out to secure a +1 win.
