Euan Burridge managed to foil his dad's bid for a hat-trick of wins in the event with a 7-4 7-6 victory over Ian in the final. Ian had earlier overcome Rachel Gee in one semi-final, Rachel having won 13 out of 14 games in her block with a very impressive net hoop difference of +50. Ian and Rachel were still playing hoop 5 in game 1 of their match when Euan completed a 7-1, 7-2 demolition of John Noble in the other semi-final. John had played well to edge out Richard Bilton in a head to head final block game.
